On 15th of December 2023, DDS-MAP project organised an introductory open science workshop on research data management. More than 10+ researchers from different consortium partners joined this hands-on online event. Shanmugasundaram Venkataraman from OpenAIRE ((https://www.openaire.eu/) gave the opening sessions highlighting the background, data management lifecycle, tools and infrastructure, resources of data repository, principles of data sharing and openness etc. He also shared different principles of F.A.I.R. and global best practices on data privacy and open-source repository tools and methodologies. Niamh Brennan from OpenAIRE) facilitated the second part that covered an in-depth review of the existing version of the DDS-MAP data management plan and strategy for the update to make it more comprehensive. The session identified the crucial elements of the data collection, storage and sharing with a timeline of them taking place. Led by Florian Scheibein from SETU and Chloe Green from UCD and supported by all partners, the plan will be revised periodically throughout the project lifecycle.
