On April 1-5 professor John Wells from South East Technological University (SETU) in Waterford, Ireland – leader of the DDS-MAP project – visited the Faculty of Health Sciences of Medical University of Lublin in Poland. The aim of the visit was to discuss joint activities within the project as well as future project applications. During the meeting with the Faculty team implementing the project, the procedure for validating training modules and research related to this procedure was discussed. The meeting was also attended by prof. Dianne Cooney-Miner and Dr. Patricia Gatlin from Rochester University, USA. The University of Rochester successfully uses virtual reality in nursing education and the experience of representatives of this university will be valuable for the implementation of the DDS-MAP project. Therefore, both professors were invited to join the emerging Advisory Council of the DDS-MAP project.
